The SCCA Finger Lakes Region continues there Winter Rally Series, with Rallymaster Alan Smith and his Long Way Home Rally!
The SCCA Detroit Region's Son of Sno*Drift Road Rally, now in its 24th year, is a straightforward Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) Great Lakes Division Tour event, meaning no traps! The “classroom” instruction will be conducted via Zoom session. Class begins at 1:00 pm and should run for about an hour and a half, including time for Q&A. For those who can’t join the live session, we will post a YouTube video recording of the session and will share information on how to access it after the Rally School.
This “Back-to-Basics” series will consist of four events of progressive challenge levels staged over several months. These will be SCCA GTA (Games, Tours, Adventures) Social Rallies, about 45-60 miles and 2 ½ - 3 hours long. We will score them and present awards to the most successful. The objective is to conduct events in accordance with the SCCA RoadRally Rules, starting with simple rules and instructions. Then each succeeding rally will introduce more advanced topics.

The Yucatan Winter Safari Rally will be a throwback rally to the 2011 event. It will use the same course and instructions but replacing the worked controls with GPS timed controls. It is once again time to enjoy the winter roads of the Southern Tier with the SCCA Finger Lakes Region's 2022 Winter Rally Series. The rally is somewhat easier than past years. The mileages are consistent. The times recorded by Richta between IPhone, Android, and Timewise were never off by more than 0.5 seconds. The control locations are consistent with Winter Challenge and fair. — Pre-Checker Mike Collier, Jan 22nd
It's time once again for our annual(ish) Road Rally event. Road Rally is a motorsport open to anyone and any vehicle. Registration Opens: 930AM First Car Out: 10:30AM Entry fees are $20 for SCCA Members and $30 those without an SCCA Membership!
