It’s been over 25 years, yet the SCCA Blackhawk Valley Region has returned to Road Rally! Rallymaster Tim Marx started with a GTA Rally in the form of a Poker Rally. Of course, the theme was The Bob Phillips Memorial Cheese Rally, named after a long-time member and Rallymaster of this traditional rally, which he started in the late 1960s!
Thirteen teams competed on Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin roads, ending at Baumgartner’s Cheese Store & Tavern in Monroe, Wisconsin, the Cheese Rallies Original/Traditional endpoint.

The BVR Region has already planned for its next rally, the Blackhawk Trails Tour Rally, on August 19, 2023, starting in SE Rockford, Illinois!
