We guess you may have heard about this before. In January, during the SCCA Virtual Convention, Tyler Linner, a member of the SCCA Land ‘o Lakes Region, presented a session on Shooting Your Rally. It was well attended and well received, not only by the road rally enthusiasts within the SCCA but also by other sectors of the sanctioned motorsports offered.
On April 24th, the Sports Car Club of America will host a Quarterly RoadRally Zoom and Linner will return to critique photos submitted from road rally events taken in 2025. With many areas of the country starting their 2025 seasons of road rally programs, images taken in previous years are acceptable for submission for this first critique session.
The SCCA Regional RoadRally Development Committee (RRDC) is on a mission to snag your photos for our epic chat about what’s good, better, and downright fabulous in capturing the thrill, chill, and camaraderie of road rally—just in time for our April 24th Quarterly Zoom. Don’t forget to check out or rewatch the YouTube video of his presentation below! And if you’ve got questions or a treasure trove of photos, reach out to him at tylerlinner@comeroadrallywith.us! For the record, Linner will be putting some of his shots on the line for critique, too!
While his presentation won’t take up the full Zoom session, we encourage all Rallymasters, Rallyists, Region Leadership (as capturing photos to promote all sports is vital), and fellow motorsport enthusiasts to attend. Click here to join in on Thursday, April 24th, 7:00P Central. You may also find a link on the SCCA website, under the RoadRally tab, under the Programs tab.
Linner is actively engaged with his local SCCA Land ‘o Lakes Region, serving as Rallymaster for the Green Heck Gravel Rally, which runs June 28-29, 2025. This event promises to attract a crowd of enthusiastic rally fans, and those new to the sport, eager to showcase their skills on the challenging gravel roads. He is also deeply involved in stage rallying, where his passion for motorsport shines through his dedication and meticulous planning.
We are delighted that Linner has taken on the significant challenge of rebuilding the SCCA CenDiv RoadRally Championship in 2025, with events strategically scheduled across the Milwaukee, Land o’ Lakes, and Blackhawk Valley Regions. This initiative represents not only a revival of the Championship but also an opportunity to foster community spirit and attract new organizers to the sport, ensuring its continued growth and success in the years to come. Linner’s commitment to enhancing the rally scene reflects his unwavering enthusiasm and vision for a vibrant motorsport community.
