IL: The Christmas Light Tour Rallye
December 12, 2020 – December 25, 2020
Do you know where the best Christmas decorations are in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago? We do! And we show them annually at The Christmas Light Tour Rallye, a benefit for the USMC Toys for Tots. There will be two courses this year: West – Schaumburg, and East – Lincolnwood.
When? You can run this year’s The Christmas Light Tour Rallye at any time from the 12th of December until Christmas Day. Many teams will choose to run when there is a group on the night of December 12th, yet you can participate when you please.
Spectacular Houses! This event has, in the past, shown the most spectacular houses in the Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Elk Grove, and Arlington Heights areas. We have more for you this year, too, as we have a second Tour you can run on the Eastern front to take in Lincolnwood, Sauganash, and Edgebrook.
Special Entry Fee for The Christmas Light Tour Rallye! Because it is a Charity Rally to benefit the USMC Toys for Tots, the entry cost is $20 per vehicle. Should you have a toy to donate, we will graciously accept it during the Saturday, December 12th run. It is not necessary, but it is fun to give a toy to the cause!
COVID-19 Precautions: The plan is to end at Garibaldi’s Italian Eatery, yet of course, because of the pandemic, we don’t know what the endpoint situation will be. Yet you can still go out and enjoy the decorated homes.
Registration: You must Pre-Register! Last year we had over 400 total entries and 170 entries running the night of the event. We can’t possibly handle that number of vehicles again as competitors, yet you can join as a non-competitor and still run the event. We’ll send all materials to you by the 12th of December, and you can run it any day or night you wish. It’s fun, fresh, and a great activity with family, friends, and cohorts! Get ready to put on those sunglasses and be blinded by the lights you will see along the route. Spectacular lights and amazing displays await.
