The RoadRally Board wants all Regions, Rallymasters and competitors to know that the GTA Handbook has been updated. The 2022 Edition is dated March 13, 2022, and is posted in the Rules and Documents portion of the RoadRally program page at the SCCA website.
The 2022 Edition features this one change, in section 2:
“The primary method of scoring is by other than the Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) format used in other SCCA road rallies. But a portion of the event may use TSD scoring method or otherwise incorporate timing elements. For example as a Special Award, Tie Breaker or an introduction to TSD events.”
The change has been made to allow Regions greater freedom in designing their GTA events. The RoadRally Board supports innovation, and encourages Regions to create events that appeal to their local participants.
